Maddie is delighted to announce the release of her debut album, Part One, on 12 February 2027. Marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey, the album reflects the music and influences that have shaped her as an artist to date. The project began taking shape in May 2025 and was recorded over four days at Quiet Money Studios with five-time Grammy-nominated producer James McMillan. The album was produced by acclaimed British jazz vocalist and Maddie’s mentor, Claire Martin OBE, and will be released by ECN Music.

 

Rooted in the jazz tradition while exploring connections with other genres, Part One brings together a carefully curated collection of ten tracks. The album features swinging jazz standards, touches of 70s soul, and original compositions by trumpet player, arranger and composer Gabriel Taylor, creating a sound that honours the traditions of jazz while embracing a broader musical landscape.

 

For the recording, Maddie brought together an outstanding band of close-knit, long-standing friends and collaborators, whom she first met during her studies at the Royal Academy of Music. The line-up features Columbus Sandor (piano), Guy Dempsey (bass), Kai MacRae (drums), Gabriel Taylor (trumpet and flugelhorn), Joe Evans (trombone) and Zac Taylor Schindler (tenor saxophone). Maddie is also thrilled to welcome multi-award-winning saxophonist and composer Kasper Rietkerk as a special guest on two tracks. 

 

The album’s first single, Dream Boy, was released on 21 April 2026 and is available on all major streaming platforms. Since its release, the track has received several radio plays, including airplay on Ian Shaw’s Ronnie Scott’s Jazz FM show and Nikki Yeoh’s Jazz FM show. Maddie celebrated the single with her first UK tour, bringing the album’s intimate and expressive material, alongside a selection of cherished jazz standards, to some of the UK’s leading jazz venues, including the 606 Club in London and The Verdict Jazz Club in Brighton.

 

With more singles set to be released in the lead-up to the album launch, Maddie is eagerly anticipating the next chapter of this project. The album will be launched at PizzaExpress Live in Chelsea on February 24th 2027, marking the beginning of her second UK tour, which will run from March to May 2027.
